COVID 19 is something which has just refused to disappear despite the efforts across geographies. The magic wand a.k.a. ‘the vaccine’, has arrived but not yet in everyone’s reach. India has had a tough time in the past couple of months with the second wave infections and deaths per day reaching an all-time high. Fortunately, with the tapering off of the daily numbers, it is felt that we have crossed the peak. The potential havoc of a possible third wave, however, still keeps all of us scared and anxious. There is enough anxiety and negativity surrounding us where almost all of us have seen tragedies amongst close family and friends. The recoveries have surely been much much higher than the losses however, as humans we naturally cling on to negativity more than whatever positive is happening all around us.

The negative thoughts and situations also raise a big question mark on how we perceive ourselves. Most of us get low on self-esteem and our confidence level drops. Though the situation is to be blamed, we start blaming ourselves, we start taking stress on our bodies and we let our productivity drop. While an appropriate nurturing environment is absolutely essential for creativity to prosper, not everything is in our control. What we forget is that our capabilities, competencies, confidence, and self-esteem doesn’t have to take a beating.

Stop feeding the negative media to your mind and instead feel good and happy about yourself. Feed your mind with positive thoughts, recall your past successes, take pride in your past achievements, read some good books, watch TV programs and movies that elevate your mood, and reach out to friends who bring joy to you. Resume your actions TODAY towards the achievement of your goals which you may have suspended because of the recent anxiety.

Have that self-esteem high. You have tremendous potential to achieve. There is a long way to go, you have only marched a little. #staysafe #staystrong #stayhappy
