It is natural for all of us to get into a comparison mode especially when we are facing issues in our lives or are not progressing as we had wanted. This also naturally comes to us since from our childhood days itself, we have seen comparisons happening with friends, relatives etc. In today’s digital world, the comparison has spread its wings at a much wider level.
We need to therefore take a conscious decision and have a deliberate intent to not compare your life to what another person reflects online. It is okay to interact with your friends online, but don’t believe everything you see. If you feel like your life pales in comparison, realize that you are comparing yourself to a highlight reel of their lives. Also, remember you may be comparing your beginning with someone else’s middle.
Always remember, such comparisons can be adverse on us emotionally in the long run.
